Making Bread Site-Specific Performance January 2004
|
Making Bread was performed in a 92-year-old woman's apartment where the décor has not changed since the 1940's. This performance began with a woman, myself stitching up a tear in my apron I was wearing. I then made bread at the kitchen table. Across the table was my husband playing a serenade on the accordion. After I finish preparing the dough, I went into the bathroom down the hall to take a bath. This moving image of the bath is projected onto the kitchen table where the bread was made and my husband continues his serenade. |
